Job Summary
Identify cost reducing opportunities through supplier analysis, development, negotiation, bidding and strategic sourcing development to maximize the value proposition to the Company. Converts plant generated requisitions into purchase orders employing Oracle Purchasing Applications to secure goods and services in a timely manner for assigned plant operations. Focus in Engineering Project sourcing.
Essential Accountabilities
Understanding internal and external customer needs
Review and analyze spending trends by location, category, supplier, etc.
Ability to create strategic sourcing advantages and verbalize justification clearly
Ability to negotiate on various positions for best value proposition
Utilize ERP application to create purchase orders to secure goods and services
Working knowledge of procurement for short and long-term projects and all associated tasks Complies with all environmental, health, safety & training policies, procedures and requirements
Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information
Performs other duties as directed
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
BS/BA Degree in Business Administration or other relevant fields required
Experience:
3-5 years equivalent experience required; including but not limited to procurement sourcing, raw materials / finished goods / services buying, accounting, contract negotiations, logistics and finance. Experience in purchasing for engineering projects a plus.

Demonstrate excellent customer service techniques

Ability to identify potential value add opportunities and communicate those opportunities
effectively at all levels of management
The ability to contribute as a team member and occasionally lead team tasks
Analyze information for trends and anomalies using reports and MS Excel
Conduct training for new requisitioners or buyers and refresher training as required
Knowledge of both Plant and Mobile Equipment
Knowledge of basic Accounting principles
Negotiating skills
Good organization, attention to detail
Knowledge of project management techniques and processes
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, and Oracle

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
