Project Controller

Company Introduction Purpose and Responsibility of the Position: The Project Controller (PC) is responsible for the Financial Management, Tracking, and Coordination of all OEM projects at Drive ("OEM projects" are defined as potential new business for Drive from quote stage until three months after SOP with all project related items resolved). The PC ensures that duties and responsibilities as set forth by the Business Manager/Steering Team are met using a strong entrepreneurial spirit. The PC establishes the project specific departmental budgets for Drive Automotive in conjunction with the Business Manager/Steering Team. The PC assures that financialreporting meets all Magna/Cosma, as well as Government requirements. The Project Controller is responsible to ensure that the Customer, People, and Investor goals are balanced and met. Major Responsibilities Essential Functions of the Position: o Prepare CBAs (or other approved financial tools) for business reviews on new or quoted OEM programs (specifically, piece price evaluation to meet Cosma/Drive expectations) and assist with strategy for new business opportunities. o Support Management Team with financial analyses to support major capital projects including (but not limited to) building additions and major equipment purchases, consider (and negotiate) all possible business incentives, ensuring involvement of Magna's Governmental Affairs Manager. Provide budgeting and financial control throughout the project, ensuring that Magna REAF requirements and the planning requirements of the Divisional Controller are met. o Support Commercial team with financial control and budgeting of all OEM projects, including (but not limited to) Base Tooling, Engineering Changes, Contract Engineering, Tryout Material, Prototypes, Die Coating Pre-Series parts, Check Fixtures, Automation, Homeline Commissioning, Project Management, and Capital spending. o Completion of any required "Quote Capital" documentation and submission to Cosma. o Quote model parameters and development. o Provide financial feedback to commercial team throughout quoting and project phases. o Support the Controller with financial information from OEM projects and provides relevant information to support monthly financialreporting. o Create and manage OEM project tooling budgets with both Customers and Vendors ensuring accuracy to agreed to Terms and Conditions. o Ensure all project Purchase Orders are recorded within PC's applicable systems. o Ensure compliance with internal financial systems utilizing SAP wherever possible. o Provide Accounting department notification that customer invoicing is required in accordance with Drive's financial process. o Approve (sign-off) on vendor invoices prior to payments. o Notify commercial team of any financial discrepancies or concerns from an OEM project. o Support in the event of a Customer Audit to provide required project documentation. o Provide necessary documentation to Business Manager and Controller for preparation of annual business plan. o Provide VAT support (when necessary). o Assure the management team that Drive's business plan goals and objectives are met, measured by EBIT and ROFE targets as agreed with the Business Manager, AGM and General Manager (Exceptional EBIT, Exceptional ROFE, 15% annual growth). o Adhere to a Management System (TS-16949) that encompasses all aspects of Drive Automotive's business. o Continuously strengthens all systems to strive for excellence regarding all aspects of the business. o Prepare project financial overviews as requested to support Steering Team and/or Cosma. o Assure compliance with all rules and regulations. o Support the organization with data and data analysis. o Support the Unified Effort within Cosma and Magna. o Perform other duties as required. o Ensure accounting reconciliation is completed monthly for tooling accounts. Knowledge and Education Education and/ or Experience: o Five plus years of financial/commercial experience. o Preferred: five plus years prior experience as Controller/Assistant Controller o Bachelordegree in Accounting/Business related field Skills and Competencies Position Requirements: Core Competencies: Personnel shall be competent to perform their job function based on appropriate education, training, skills, and experience. Communication Skills: Proficient in: o Reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations o Writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals o Presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public o Leading discussions, meetings, presentations and forums o Communication free of vulgarity, profanity, hearsay, and menace in spoken, written, and published form o Electronic Communication Means (telephone, fax, video conferencing, web conferencing, etc) Mathematical Skills: Proficient in: o Mathematical concepts such as probability and standard inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry o Concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions o Standard Costing Techniques o Financial transactions and concepts o Metric and imperial measurement systems o Statistical analysis Reasoning Ability: Proficient in: Specification and Problem definition, data collection, fact determination, drawing valid conclusions, and formulating clear recommendations: o Quick interpretation and formulation of argument, counter opinion and factual statement for negotiation conclusion o Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form Ability to: o Simultaneously deal with several abstract and concrete variables COS06252

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
