The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for design, development and industrialization of new products.
Responsibilities / Abilities:
Design and development of new products, equipment and systems and modification of existing products as well as Proto-Typing and testing:
Product design using 3D solid modeling and 2D drafting tools (SolidWorks)
Mechanical and structural analysis (FEA using SolidWorks)
Kinematic synthesis
Component and system tolerance analysis (GD&T)
Structural, electrical and thermal analysis
Evaluate new components, materials and manufacturing methods for application in new and existing products.
Support manufacturing in the industrialization of new products and equipment.
Support Quality in validation of incoming components.
Analyze and solve customer problems, developing engineered solutions.
Successful candidates for this position will be self-starting, innovative, hands-on, resourceful and well-organized with excellent interpersonal skills and have a natural curiosity and desire to excel.
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; working knowledge of Electrical Engineering being a plus
10+ years related experience required; experience in the transit industry a plus
Product design and development experience using 3D solid modeling and drafting; Current SolidWorks experience required.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills and mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Good working knowledge of materials such as steel, iron, aluminum and copper alloys as well as plastics.
Familiar with general manufacturing, machining, fabrication, welding and finishing practices.
Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively with a high attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, tailored to internal and external audiences
Travel up to 15% required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
